Even as visiting the Antarctic is becoming commonplace today, I think of it as a very special place on our planet that should be revered for the preservation of its ecosystem and the fact that no one nation is allowed to dominate it. Stepping on the Antarctic peninsula also represented a dubious personal achievement of having stepped on all seven continents. All in, it was fun and I recommend the trip to everyone.
