I was in Port-Au-Prince in Haiti in the middle of a gasoline crisis, but what I saw was not what was being published in the international newspapers. I also filled an important gap in my knowledge of American emancipation history that needed to include the history of Haiti’s own victory against slavery 220 years ago. Watch the video.
