I consider Peter Renton as a world authority in the area of peer-to-peer lending. He ran the world’s largest P2P lending conference called LendIT which eventually got renamed Fintech Nexus last year. He is co-founder and chairman of Fintech Nexus and I met him at his 2023 event at the Javits Center in New York in May 2023. Hundreds of companies that used to be selling P2P solutions are today selling data and analytics capabilities to banks to be able to process credit, marketing and risk.
