I shared my views on the future of artificial intelligence in my conversation with Armin Popp on Out of Consensus. I encouraged a critical and nuanced perspective when assessing a country’s success and prompted some questions on the assumption that China’s tech superiority is inevitable.

Here are other key takeaways from our conversation:
• Different countries are at different stages of embracing the open information economy to benefit from the full effects of AI and leverage global knowledge and creativity.
• The flow of global capital is finite, we have seen it focused on China in the past 20 years and now it is being re-deployed to different regions, including India, Southeast Asia and Africa.
• The days of the super app are numbered
• Grassroots infrastructure is pivotal in determining a country’s future success.
