Sir George Mathewson, former Chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland, gave the following address to Leadership Achievement Award winners at the gala ceremony at The Asian Banker Summit 2010 when he was unable to attend in person, due to cancelled flights following the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland.
